FASHION WEEK DIARIES: London Fashion Week AW'18, Feb 17

Saturday of London Fashion Week began with a presentation from Cassey Gan. The presentation attracted lots of photographers and general public admiring the bold colours and interesting prints of this season’s designs. Unique shapes and mesmerising patterns were at the forefront of Cassey Gan’s AW18 collection on display.

Out on the streets of London, the style didn’t waver. Bold colours were seen throughout the looks of Saturday’s attendees, from brightly coloured ties to matching shoes and bags. 180 the Strand was overrun by a protest about fur and animal rights that attracted a lot of people backing the cause whilst the attendees of the fashion shows did not seem to be phased by their chants and calls. Nevertheless, Saturday’s street style was vibrant and uplifting with the crowds being happy to be photographed.

Animal Rights protestNext to be captured by our photography team was the backstage preparation for the catwalk shows held at Freemason’s Hall. Susan Fang’s show consisted of beautiful patterns and delicate details. This was followed by Mimi Tran’s show with incredible dresses sporting sparkles and gems galore. There was a friendly atmosphere in the backstage of Saturday’s shows; it was significantly more relaxed than the previous day with a buzz of excitement for the following days.
